It is the most wonderful time of the year for foodies! Disney’s California Adventure’s Food & Wine kicks off next weekend! March 1st through April 22nd.
The Food & Wine Festival celebrates the delicious food and creations all over California. With 10 Festival Booths inside California Adventure and various other restaurants around DCA and Downtown Disney offering new food items for the Food & Wine, it is foodie heaven.
This year’s festival will offer over 80 new items! We will be highlighting some look sound and look taste worthy. To read the entire list of booths and offerings during this festival check out Disney Park’s Blog Food Guide, below.

Two big staples of L.A are carnitas and Korean BBQ. Disney chefs found a way to combine the two. At the “LA Style” booth you’ll find the Carnitas-style Pork Belly with esquites corn mac salad featuring Tajín Habanero. Just the thought of fried pork belly carnitas style is making my mouth drool and they added some street-style corn, perfection. Not pictured, but also in this booth, is the Baja-style Fish Taco, which will be served with cabbage slaw, cilantro-lime crema, and pico de gallo.
Din Tai Fung will open at Downtown Disney later this year! They are know for their dumplings and bao. But Disney isn’t waiting around, this year they are introducing the Cheeseburger Bao to the “California Craft Brews” booth. The Cheeseburger Bao comes with Thousand Island dressing, grilled onions, pickle, and tomato relish. A very interesting twist on a classic asian item and while you are at that booth try the S’mores Caramel Tart; Graham cracker tart shell filled with caramel and chocolate ganache topped with a toasted marshmallow.
Food & Wine Festival is for everyone, it has delicious bites for adults and kids alike, plus several meatless opinions. “Earth Eats,” specializes in meatless options and one item in particular caught our attention. The IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Parm Bites with tomato and cheese sauces and grated parmesan.
Food & Wine time is up there for us foodies with Halloween Time and Holidays at Disneyland. Walking down Buena Vista Street all the way to Paradise Garden and seeing all the festival food booths with all the delicious food offerings will get any food lover excited.
On a side note, this year for Lunar New Year the “food voucher” lanyard did not have tabs, instead the lanyard got scanned and that is how they kept track of the “tabs” or how many items you’ve gotten. We anticipate Disney doing the same with this years Food & Wine Festival lanyards.
