Happy first day of Burger Week!! Every year The Oinkster in Eagle Rock, a burger staple in Los Angeles, hosts a Burger Week. A week in which they put their Oinkster flavor on a popular fast food burger. Much like prior years, this year’s burger line-up will be having burger lovers coming in daily!
Burger Week at the Oinkster will run from today, Monday the 24th, through Sunday, the 3oth. Each day will bring in a new burger and the burger that will be kicking off this event is a twist on Jack in the Box’s sourdough burger. The Sourdough Josh is a sourdough burger with a Nebraska Angus patty with white American cheese, tomatoes, bacon, and onion mayo.
On Tuesday will bring the Bun Taco, taco-seasoned beef with shredded lettuce and tomatoes on a seedless bun with a side of hot sauce. We believe it’s their version of a Del Taco taco but in burger form.
Who remembers going to a Dodger game and grabbing a Western Burger from the concession stands? Yeah, we may have just dated ourselves, but I digress. On Wednesday we are going western with the Oinkin’ Western Cheeseburger a Nebraska Angus beef patty but this time with bacon BBQ sauce, onion rings, and American cheese on a seeded bun.
The Pork Adobado burger will be the featured burger on Thursday. House-made pork adobo, house-made pico de gallo, garlic aioli, and a ground pork patty on pan de sal bread.
Friday, the start of the weekend and quite possibly the burger we are most excited about! The Big Ma……x!!! Yes, the Oinkster version of the famous Big Mac, the Big Max will have Nebraska Angus beef, American cheese, chopped onions, pickles, house-made 1,000 Island sauce, and shredded lettuce on a seeded bun.
Saturday will take your taste pallets to Philly with The “Cousin.” Philly cheesesteak meat, American cheese, grilled onions and peppers on a French roll.
Lastly, while you may not be able to go to Chik-fil-A on a Sunday to get your chicken sandwich fix, you will be able to go to The Oinkster for their final “burger” of Burger Week. The Chik-Fil-Alan will have a breaded and fried chicken breast in a seeded bun, with pickles and Chick-Fil-A sauce.
So choose your burger, or burgers, or heck go the whole week to enjoy this yearly event put on by The Oinkster. If you can’t make it this week, don’t worry, The Oinkster has its own amazing burgers year around, and might we suggest the Piggy fries.
