Pepsi-Cola is a known competitor to Coca-Cola, battling for the top spot as the best and most consumed soda pop in both the U.S. and the world. But Pepsi is doing something that Coke has yet to do, start a condiment line.
You heard correctly, Pepsi-Cola will be rolling out a condiment this fourth of July. The condiment, well, what goes well with hotdogs? Ketchup! But not just any ordinary ketchup, “Colchup.”
Pepsi is teaming up with the Culinary Institute of America to bring Pepsi-infused ketchup. The Culinary Institute of America director of the client experience, David Kamen, had this to say about the upcoming Colchup, “The distinctive flavors and vibrant citrus blend of Pepsi enhance the bright and tangy characteristics of ketchup, offsetting the smokiness of the hot dog.”
We are definitely curious to see how this new ketchup will taste, especially on a hotdog.
