The most magical place on earth has released a yearly calendar of upcoming events. A, save the date if you will, of all our favorite times to visit Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure.
Some highlights include the Lunar New Year celebration at DCA which begins January 23rd and will go through February 18th. Our favorite time of the year is during the Food & Wine! DCA will be hosting it again this year from March 1st until April 22nd. Food & Wine is foodie heaven, food booths from Carthay Circle to Paradise Garden. All with different food items to try and enjoy.
Halloween Time and Plaza de la Family make their annual return. Halloween Time at Disneyland runs from August 23rd to Halloween Day (October 31st). The Plaza de la Family starts at the same time (August 23) but stays up at California Adventures through Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), November 2nd.
The Holidays at Disneyland are always jolly and merry, they being November 15th.
What caught our eye while looking at the calendar was both “The Season of the Force,” and “Pixar Fest.” Season of the Force is a celebration of Star Wars! and with Galaxy’s Edge open, it will make the celebration extra strong with the Force at Disneyland. Seasons of the Force will run from April 5th to June 2nd. Pixar Fest was a huge hit a few years back and Disney’s California Adventure will be hosting this fun event. Making it extra fun this year with the new Pixar Hotel, which is opening in late January, and additional floats to the “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade like Turning Red and Elemental! But DCA won’t be the only one having all the fun. Disneyland will have a special nighttime show while the Pixar Parade will be in California Adventures. “Together Forever – A Nighttime Spectacular” will light up the Sleeping Beauty Castle and down the main street. Pixar Fest at Disneyland and DCA will start on April 26 and end on August 4th.
